virtual 3.1 mile run & charity raffle!
<< Sign up today and you’ll be entered in the charity raffle! >>
Running has the extraordinary power to change lives. Whether you’ve been running for years or are just starting out, the Inspired5K is a virtual 3.1 mile run to celebrate how running has inspired positive change within ourselves and our communities, created new friendships, and given us a way to enjoy less-stressed, more-active lives.
100% of charity raffle proceeds will go to Girls on The Run.
Run anytime from May 25 to 27th!
Since the Inspired5K is virtual, you can run the 3.1 miles on your favorite route where you live! The Inspired5K is open to runners of all levels. Have fun with this virtual run! Grab friends in your city or via social media, and run at a time during the three-day weekend that is most convenient for you. Every runner who signs up will get a bib to wear too!
To share your photos and tweets, simply tag #Inspired5K on Instagram and Twitter. You can also join us for pre- and post-race announcements on the RUNspiration Facebook page.
By donating $3.10, you’ll signed up for the Inspired5K virtual run and entered into the charity raffle to win some great prizes from our kind sponsors. 100% of proceeds will be given to non-profit Girls On The Run, a transformational learning program for girls in 3rd-8th grade that teaches life skills through dynamic, conversation-based lessons and running games.
Let’s celebrate the running community! The Inspired5K is brought to you by RUNspiration, an online running community on Facebook and Twitter created by Alicia Benjamin, who ran her first half marathon in 2012. She’ll be running the Inspired5K on May 27, when she runs the BoulderBolder 10K for the first time.
I became a half marathoner November 4th, 2012, on my little sister’s birthday. At every mile mark, I dedicated each of the 13 miles to the people in my life who have inspired and supported me. I owe a lot to the RUNspiration community for supporting me every mile of the way (literally, as I live Facebooked the race!). I’m very excited to host the first Inspired5K virtual run, and I’m humbled by the opportunity to give back to the running community that has given me so much since I first started running just two short years ago. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. I could not have done it without you.
